Margaret Lachut has worn the hat of many different kinds of artists;
from fashion illustrator, to oil painter, watercolorist, pastelist, portrait painter,
and art educator and workshop teacher. She has three art degrees and has attended
numerous workshops. Margaret’s philosophy is that if you are not seeking to
learn and improve your skills, then you are a dying artist and your work becomes stale. Margaret
has been juried into many local and national art shows and has also won many awards.
The oil paintings show a contemporary impressionist influence. Margaret’s
first medium is oil painting and she enjoys the excitement by the use of color. Recently,
she has taken the challenge of watercolors. It is a medium that is not very forgiving,
but, she enjoys the challenge. Pastels are also included in her repertoire. Margaret
paints still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. To view some of her works, please click on
the links to the left.
This site is primarily a means for Margaret to showcase her art work. All of the works
shown here are for sale. If you are interested in purchasing one please contact us.
While we try to show as much of her work as possible, there are many works which we
simply do not have room for. If you are looking for something particular please let
us know, we would be happy to talk to you about a commissioned
work.
